Ghostface Killah
Audio Clip: "Celebrate"
The Wu-Tang Clan is basically a big happy family, free from a lot of infighting, but when the new Wu disc was set for release the same day as favorite son Ghostface Killah's seventh, the MC got a little miffed, according to mtv.com.
With good reason, too: Ghostface has become not just the most reliable of all the Wu crew, but among all MCs, period, pretty much guaranteed to bring the goods with each solo endeavor.
Not that Ghostface sounds like he's working too hard on The Big Doe Rehab.
As always, his non sequitur flow on goofs like "Supa GFK" sound nearly effortless, as do tales of street life like "Walk Around," which relates in intricate details the aftermath of a violent run-in.
Of course, Ghost knows how to have fun, too. The Rare Earth-sampling single "We Celebrate" might be a little obvious, but no one's going to turn that dial when it comes on the air.
And while the party's going on, Ghost will have probably already moved on to album number eight.
