Attend a Georgia Tech football game in Atlanta, and the buzz circulating Bobby Dodd Stadium is like nothing you'll find at any other ballpark. That's because of Buzz, the school's beloved bee, who, when he's not busy kissing coeds or harassing the school's band conductor, manages to whip 45,000 Yellow Jacket fans into a frenzy every single week.

Buzz is the benchmark by which all other mascots are measured: He took home the top prize at the 2000 and 2001 cheerleading national championship, and he's the favorite going into the 2002 competition. At a school swarming with sweet Southern honeys, Buzz is king bee at Georgia Tech, and being Buzz certainly has its perks: You get a car (though it's sort of a wreck), you get a gun (just make sure school officials don't see it) and you get your choice of inflatable women (go nuts).

Buzz recently warmed the bench with Playboy.com to talk crowd-surfing, mascot fights and college girls who get his stinger going.

Playboy.com: How does Buzz get pumped up for a big game?
Buzz: I get a special introduction, so the crowd's yelling just for me. I run out and stop on the big "GT" in the middle of the field, where I do a flip and take a bow. Then I dive into the student section and crowd-surf to the top.

PB: Have you ever been hurt in the line of duty?
Buzz: Once I was standing on a wall, and fans from the other team pushed me off. Buzz' visibility isn't too good, so I usually run into things and stumble down the stairs, which the crowd loves. The head doubles as a helmet, which helps out a lot.

PB: Are injuries something you think about when you're suiting up?
Buzz: Nah. The adrenaline rush is so huge that all you can think of is entertaining 45,000 people.

PB: Since you can't speak on the field, what do you do when the other mascot is giving you shit and you can't respond?
Buzz: First and foremost, I'm a gentleman -- I will never, ever start a fight, but I will stop at nothing to make sure I win one. I think of other ways to get back at them. Against Navy, Buzz and Billy the Goat faced off with water pistols. At the last minute, I pulled out a Super Soaker and hosed Billy down as he went running away. The Clemson Tiger tried to attack me once, and I got him with the Super Soaker. Then he came back with his friends, and there was a pretty nasty fight.

PB: Is there a code of conduct among mascots?
Buzz: You don't ever want to humiliate the other guy. You never want to pull his head off. When you're throwing punches and really trying to hurt each other, it's gone too far.

PB: Have you come to blows before?
Buzz: Yes -- usually with the Clemson Tigers. They've got the Tiger and the Tiger Cub, and a few years ago, the Tiger Cub attacked me from behind and the Tiger jumped in. Luckily, a band member jumped out of the stands and helped me beat them down.

PB: What's your signature move?
