"Please tell your readers that Sia's single," Shane Barbi says of her twin sister. "We need someone for Sia, and Playboy.com can help us out." Consider it done. But any new guy will have to accommodate Sia's busy schedule because the twin temptresses are doing whirlwind publicity for their best-selling 2002 Barbi calendar. The pair are donating their proceeds to the USO and the New York General Relief Fund. The calendar broke sales records, which led the E! network to dub the gals the "official pin-ups" for Operation Enduring Freedom.
After appearing in two stunning Playboy pictorials in 1991 and 1993, the Barbi twins turned their attention to helping women achieve a healthier self-image. Their book, Barbi Twins: Dying to Be Healthy, frankly addressed their problems with bulimia. A follow-up, Barbi Twins Dietless Book, is due out in the spring. While those titles were geared toward women, guys will be cleaning off their coffee table -- or going out to buy one -- to make room for the twins' book of black-and-white nudes, also due out this spring.
The fun-loving twins have also been getting press ever since Shane's recent confession on The Howard Stern Show that she "shares" her movie-star husband Ken Wahl, of Wiseguy fame, with her sister. "We were raised by a liberal lesbian mother," explains Shane. "We don't define ourselves through our sexuality, through being feminine. Being whatever we are is just an expression of ourselves." Playboy.com wanted to know how the Barbi twins would express themselves on the subject of sex. They gave us more than we bargained for on choo-choo train orgasms, sex in barns and how one Ken ended up servicing two Barbis.
1. How did the "sharing" of Ken with Sia come about?
Shane: I knew that they liked each other. I know he loves me, so there was no jealousy there. I always felt that in relationships, if you really loved someone, it'd be natural to be jealous. It's not. There's a comfort zone when you're able to love someone and not have the jealousy. Jealousy means you fear that you're not going to be there anymore. When that fear is gone, you can enjoy sex at its highest level. It's not that I promote us switching partners. There is a confidence and security by saying to Ken, "Hey, do you wanna enjoy something with my sister? Go ahead." When they do it, though, I'm going to leave. I'm not around when they're together.
2. What's the most unusual place you've ever had sex?
Sia: In a barn. [Laughs] I'm really into horses. I've always been around barns and ranches. I like the smell of horses. It was quite natural to want to have sex in there.
Shane: In my bed. That is unusual, because I do it everywhere but there.
Sia: I had sex in her bed last week. [Laughs] I kept it warm for her. I've been in her bed more than she has.
3. What celebrity would you most like to have sex with?
Shane: I've always had to have a personal connection. I think fantasizing can be very delusional. I think when you start fantasizing that you'd like to have sex with a certain person, you're almost obsessing on a stalking level.
Sia: I just like to be with regular guys.
4. What kind of music do you listen to during sex?
Sia: I love country. Really!
Shane: I like sex to Latin rock and Middle Eastern music. I practice my belly dance moves during sex.
