Black Box Skatepark

This park probably shouldn't make the list because, unlike the rest of the top 10, there's only a fart-in-a-school-bus's chance you'll ever be allowed to skate it. The Black Box park is a private facility for the Black Box family of companies (Zero, Mystery, Fallen and Slave) and is pretty much a dojo of modern street-skating. These teams are some of the baddest dudes (and two ladies) on four wheels and their park reflects their mission: namely, bringing the gnar. Double sets, kinker rails, granite-topped ledges and hubbas -- all built to spec to get the team ready to throw down on the raw streets. But unlike Dyrdek's Skate Plaza, the Box also includes plenty of ramps, banks and corners to keep things hella speedy, as well as some truly wacky creations including rainbow slappy bars, a bridge of death and an approximate recreation of a beloved street spot, Grandma banks, named for the old woman who comes out and screams bloody murder when you try to skate the real thing. The best thing about the park, however, is in the intense level of absolute shredding that goes on here. From company owner Jamie Thomas, to the dude that cleans the toilets, everyone who rides here is 100 percent devoted to skating and having a good time. No barneys, no beginners; just straight skater fools hangin' out and gettin' rad.
In short: The ultimate skate clubhouse
