During the summer months, you can roll up to the unfortunately named Louisville Extreme Park at any hour of the night and find a packed session thanks to 24-hour lights and a relaxed police presence. A massive slab of rad, Louisville includes a modern street course, a 40-foot-wide vert ramp, a snake run that slithers over 100 yards and a hefty half pipe-style capsule that links to an 11-foot-deep round bowl via a 22-foot radius full pipe. This is truly a park with something for every type of skater. Smooth, free and wide-open, bring some lawn chairs and make a day (or week) of it. Friendly locals abound though there's a heavy barney and BMX contingency, resulting in the occasional bone-crunching collision. Also beware of a certain mother-daughter team of party gals who are said to live in the area. There are some things more dangerous than concrete.
