Model and Playboy Creator Lindi Nunziato sits down with us to chat about globetrotting, the bombshells who inspired her growing up, and why hesitation often leads to failure.
Playboy: To start us off, where were you born?
Lindi Nunziato: I was born in Clearwater, Florida. I grew up there until I was five and then we moved to a small town called, Lecanto, Florida. Which is in Citrus County. It’s maybe about an hour and 40 minutes north of Tampa.
Playboy: What was the first thing you’ve ever dreamed of achieving?
Lindi: The first thing I’ve ever dreamed of achieving…I wanted to be a veterinarian. But then as I grew up, I definitely always just wanted to be better. I think that was always my main goal. Be better at anything that I tried to do.
When I was young I competed in barrel racing with my horse, because I lived in a horse town. And I strived to be the best at that. As I grew up I started doing fitness competitions, and I was really, really good at that. I almost went pro.
Playboy: What is your favorite place to travel to?
Lindi: So far? Probably Japan. I went to Osaka a year ago, and it was beautiful. Japan is super clean, and super nice, and everyone there is very kind and very fashion forward, which is really cool. It was definitely a good experience.
Osaka was kind of off the beaten path. It’s very quiet and the food was really cool…experiencing all the different kinds of culture. I really enjoyed that.
Playboy: Who was the first fictional character that you fell in love with?
Lindi: But when I was little… I loved Jessica Rabbit. She was probably the first…I think I was seven or eight. And I watched “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” and I was just like “Wow.” I loved her figure. Her boobs! And just…everything. I was like, “Wow. She’s so pretty.”
Playboy: What are you passionate about?
Lindi: I’m very passionate about animals. I really love animals. I like saving them. I volunteer sometimes in shelters. Like I said, as a kid, I wanted to be a veterinarian.
That’s something I’m very very passionate about. Yes, I have two dogs. They’re both Pomeranians and I love them very very much, Gucci and Gomez. I’m also really into fashion and things of that nature. Fitness! I’m still big into fitness. I work out almost every day, even though I don’t compete anymore. It’s still a big part of my life.
Playboy: What are some of your favorite fashion brands and fashion icons?
Lindi: I would say it’s mostly Italian brands. I really like Dolce & Gabbana. I really like Bodega. I mainly like cool off-the-beaten-path type things. I really, really love Alexander McQueen stuff. Because it’s kind of like skulls and a little bit of dark and light.
Playboy: What would make you ghost a potential suitor?
Lindi: If they were arrogant, or rude. That would definitely be a deal breaker. Although, I am an adult, so I don’t really ghost people. I just straight up tell them exactly how I feel about them. And then I move on with my life.
I am not a person that usually just goes ghost on anyone. I wouldn’t want that done to me. So I don’t do it to other people regardless of how much I dislike them.
Playboy: It’s a good policy. Describe your perfect day.
Lindi Nunziato: I’m on a beach. I get up, have a mimosa because I love champagne. And I eat chocolate covered strawberries, then lay on the beautiful beach. And I sit in front of the waves, watch them crash, and I read a really good book. At some point, somebody brings me some kind of lunch and I just get to sit there all day long and do nothing.
Playboy: What food do you reach for when you’re feeling blue?
Lindi: I’m really big on snacks. I’m a big snacker. I love nuts. So, I eat pistachios and I eat cashews and—I love peanuts. I’m a nutty girl!
Playboy: What’s the best piece of advice you were ever given?
Lindi: “Think long, think wrong.” If you take too long to make a decision, you’ll end up being the victim of your own circumstances. Indecisive squirrels on the road get squashed.
Playboy: So true. What’s your favorite thing to splurge on?
Lindi: Self-care, because I am what makes me money. I am what pays my bills. So when it comes to taking care of myself and making sure that I keep up with everything that I need to keep up with…I don’t care how much I have to spend to do that because it is what in turn makes me my money.
Playboy: What’s a talent you wish you had?
Lindi: I wish I could sing. When I do sing I sound like cats dying. [Laughs]
