College football Week 5 is headlined by a marquee matchup between the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs and No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide. With copious talent on both sidelines, this very well could be CFB’s most significant regular season game of the year.
Dating back to 2020, Alabama is the only in-conference program to have defeated Georgia. Not only that, these two powerhouses have accounted for four of the past seven CFP national titles. It should not surprise anyone if either the Dawgs or Tide finish atop the college football world once again in 2024-25.

The Bulldogs have not won in Tuscaloosa since 2007, and the Tide have defeated UGA in eight of their past nine head-to-head matchups.
ESPN Analytics is giving Bama a 65.8% chance to win outright this Saturday. Obviously, both squads enter this game undefeated and a loss for either puts a significant dent in any national championship hopes.
You’ll want to keep an eye on the dueling quarterbacks in this one. Alabama’s Jalen Milroe (76.2) and Georgia’s Carson Beck (84.6) are both top-25 signal-callers for total QBR.
