Christine Quinn Moves On—And Moves Home

Chris Martin
PLAYBOY sits down with actress and model Christine Quinn to talk about the newest chapter of her life after moving back home to Texas, embracing new things, and more.

PLAYBOY last chatted with superstar Christine Quinn in March 2021, when she posed for the cover of PLAYBOY South Africa while pregnant with her son Christian. We recently reconnected with her to talk about her new life post-divorce and what fans can look forward to from her in 2025.

PLAYBOY: You’re in a new chapter of your life as a single mom. Tell us how your days are different from what they were before, and what’s bringing you happiness and peace.

Quinn: My days look very different now. Life is more peaceful when you’re not carrying the emotional baggage, toxicity and insecurities of another person. This particular PLAYBOY shoot, for example, holds much more significance for me than at first glance and goes far deeper than what’s visible in the photos. In 2021, I posed for PLAYBOY while pregnant, and I was so damn proud of it—the photos were beautiful, empowering, and reflected how I felt. My husband at the time (now ex-husband), however, had other views. His insecurities led him to demean and belittle me because of it, and undermine my work, which no woman—especially a pregnant one—should ever have to tolerate.

This year has been about reclaiming my power and learning not to let others’ insecurities affect my choices or my mental well-being. While photoshoots are something I do often, this one was different. It wasn’t just about striking a pose—it symbolized breaking free from my past, embracing my freedom to express my strength, my happiness, and my peace as I close one chapter and turn the page to write a new one.

In this new chapter, I’ve reconnected with nature, traveling, reading books and diving into philosophy, horseback riding, Pilates and yoga—things that make me feel present, balanced and powerful. Focusing on myself, my son, and just being free to reconnect with the things I once loved brings me the most peace, joy and fulfillment.

PLAYBOY: You chose to move back to your home state of Texas recently after your divorce. What motivated you to go back to familiar ground?

Quinn: I’ve always felt a strong tie to Texas. I mean, where else am I going to find mansions with 14 acres, a pool the size of a small lake, and no one telling me to parallel park in a shoebox-sized driveway? The living standards here are unmatched.

LA served its purpose—I needed it at that time, but I’m not filming “Selling Sunset” anymore, and I travel constantly, so why would I deal with traffic, parking tickets, and paying $27 for a green juice when I could be riding horses and living in a tax-free paradise?

PLAYBOY: Your Instagram is teeming with fans that say “Selling Sunset” isn’t the same without you. How does it feel to see that comment so often, years after the show’s end?

Quinn: Well, they’re not wrong. Let’s call it what it is—I invented that show. You can’t replace the main characters with background extras and expect people not to notice. It’s like replacing champagne with sparkling water and wondering why the party isn’t lit.

I do see the comments. I am forever grateful. I love my fans. And I fully support their decision to pretend the show ended the second I left.

PLAYBOY: You published your first book, How to Be a Boss Bitch, in 2022. Would you consider writing another book, and if so, what would it be about?

Quinn: I’m actually working on my second book right now. If Boss Bitch was a shot of espresso, this one is a triple espresso injected straight into your bloodstream. This isn’t just about confidence anymore – it’s about power and what that means to me today.

PLAYBOY: You’ve posted so many stunning pictures of your travels. What are a few of your favorite places you’ve visited so far? Where do you want to go next?

Quinn: Most recently, I went to Austria for a Hugo Boss campaign, and the countryside was stunning. I loved skiing there—something about flying down a mountain in a full designer look just feels on par. It was so beautiful, the skiing was excellent, and I loved the people there. Everyone was great.

Where don’t I want to go next? Wherever my new husband or sugar daddy that doesn’t exist yet wants to take me. But realistically, a beach vacation is always at the top of my list. The more planes, the better.

PLAYBOY: Since you are so well-known for your striking fashion looks: Who are your favorite designers right now?

Quinn: Right now, I’m obsessed with Schiaparelli because if I’m going to walk into a room, I want people to question if I’m part of an art exhibit or if I just landed from another planet. Mugler, because nothing says don’t talk to me like a fully structured power suit that could double as a weapon. And vintage Galliano, because his Dior era is untouchable.

PLAYBOY: Do you have any new projects coming up in 2025 fans can look out for?

Quinn: I’m working on several projects, but let’s just say—2025 is going to be a power move year for me. Stay tuned. I am very involved in the tech space and AI, it’s something many people would not know about me, but it’s definitely a passion of mine.

PLAYBOY: Lastly, what’s your perfect day with your son look like?

Quinn: Waking up late because alarm clocks are a scam. Eating pancakes that are 90% chocolate chips, 10% actual pancake. Then, heading out for the day—he’s at that age where every little experience feels like an adventure, which makes it fun for both of us.

I love taking him to the movies. Recently, we went to see Wicked, and he was obsessed. He was fully immersed—like, emotionally invested in the plot. Watching him experience things for the first time and seeing it through his eyes is one of the best parts of being a mom. Then, we’d probably end the night with some chill time at home, baking cookies, playing a game or watching something he loves while I secretly try to make him appreciate Legally Blonde as a cinematic masterpiece.
