“She’s so bubbly and charming,” Rina told PLAYBOY. “I could see myself in her, being the quiet, nerdy girl. She was how I wanted to to be seen by other people.”
Every cosplayer remembers their first (fictional character who they wanted to portray). Rina’s was always Lucy Heartfilia, the fan-favorite mage heroine from Fairy Tail. Not only does Rina love the character, but more importantly as far as cosplay is concerned, she also loved Heartfilia’s outfits.

“I had never seen outfits like that before,” Rina says. “They were the perfect mix of cute and sexy that inspired my own sense of fashion.” This cosplay is yet another reminder for Rina that her popular hobby is a side of her nerd-dom that she’s embracing without an ounce of embarrassment.
“I’m so proud of younger me for staying true to myself continuing to watch anime,” Rina says. “It has become my biggest strength and a dream come true that this is my full time work!”

In the Kingdom of Fiore, the Heartfilia Konzern is one of its wealthy and recognizable organizations. Lucy is a member of this legendary familial legacy, and perhaps its most talented. Her debut in Fairy Tail gives a great peek at the character: a hot woman who uses her sex appeal to get what she wants.
Yes, she’s bubbly and charming, but she’s incredibly confident, with the magical talent to back it up. Her utilization of celestial spirit magic, which grants her the abilities to do everything from summoning spirits to harnessing the cosmos for devastating attacks.
