Why Rebecca Adam Loves Her BMW M3
“I grew up driving a manual transmission, which is pretty rare,” Rebecca told Playboy. “It gives me a lot more control. The car is very fast and powerful and driving it is just like a little treat that I give to myself.”
The BMW M3 is basically a high performance version of the far more common BMW 3 series. Since its inception, M3 models are produced for every generation of 3 Series. This fairly established car model stretches back to when BMW was still making sleek but boxy cars. The first run of M3 ran from 1986 to 2018, with a few revisions made to the line in 1992, 2000, and 2007.
Because of their edge, BMW M3 series are manufactured by BMW M, formally known as BMW Motorsport GmbH. Despite being popular, the M3 series ceased production in 2018, due to difficulties with meeting WLTP emission regulations. However, it’s hard for a classic to stay dead forever. The M3 line returned in 2020, and is still going strong.
Last year, Rebecca took a class and earned certification for stunt driving. While she’s yet to land a professional gig, she’s got her sights on showing off her skills behind the wheel sometime in the near future. Despite her need for speed, Rebecca is retiscent to pull off any tricks in her BMW M3.
“I don’t do anything crazy, I don’t want to hurt my car,” Rebecca says. “But if conditions are safe, sometimes I’ll floor it to 90 mph, but just for a little bit.”
