Why Aubri Ebony loves Your Honor
“The show opens so beautifully. The judge is kind, compassionate, and has a great understanding of what happens behind the scenes with police,” Aubri told Playboy. “I’ve never seen a show open like that.”
Your Honor was a crime drama that aired on Showtime from 2020 to 2023 across two seasons. It was based on the Israeli TV series Kvodo. While it was originally a miniseries, Showtime ordered a second season after the first season ended in a cliffhanger.
The drama stars legendary TV actor Bryan Cranston as Michael Desiato, a prominent New Orleans judge, whose son gets embroiled in a mob conspiracy. After his son accidentally commits a hit and run on a kingpin’s son, Desiato must engage in a cutthroat game of secrets and deceit that culminates in some fairly surprising consequences.
Your Honor sports an incredibly diverse cast with tons of industry leading talents like Isiah Whitlock Jr., Carmen Ejogo, Lorraine Toussaint, Rosie Perez, and Margot Martindale. Despite only getting two seasons, the show has blown up in popularity since it landed on Netflix in May of 2024, with some speculating that a third season may get the green light. Aubri fell in love with the show from episode one, and was hooked all the way through.
“I was binge watching it with my boyfriend, but after a while he’s like ‘we need to go to sleep,'” says Aubri. “But it’s just such an amazing show.”
