God bless the ’90s for pioneering the gritty crime drama. Ever since the days of Homicide: Life on the Street, NYPD Blue, and of course, Law and Order, the genre has never truly gone away from the beloved boob tube. And while there are countless new series dropping every season, there’s one that ranks high for true fans of the network crime drama. Playboy Club Creator model Snickers Baby believes Numbers is the perfect equation for the perfect show.

Why Snickers Baby loves Numbers
“It’s so intriguing because it’s like when you think of a murder or you think of a kidnapping, you don’t think yeah, math is involved in this,” Snickers Baby told PLAYBOY. “But when they break down human behavior it relates with math and random algorithms, it’s just so mind-blowing.”
Numbers is the brainchild of husband and wife writing team Nicolas Falacci and Cheryl Heuton. The show was created as a response to the growing sense of anti-intellectualism at the time. And as far as the eggheads are concerned, they succeeded, winning the Carl Sagan Award for Public Appreciation of Science in the show’s first season.
Like many great cop shows, the show revolves around two dudes: in this case, the Eppes brothers. Don Eppes is an FBI special agent, and his brother Charlie is a mathematical genius who consults on especially tough cases. After all, math rules everything around us, so why couldn’t it be used to solve crimes?

Considering we’re all living in a world ruled by algorithms, there’s something wonderfully prescient about Numbers, despite the fact that it began in 2005. Despite this foresight, Numbers was unfortunately canceled before it’s time in its sixth season. However, unlike a lot of shows from the era, Numbers still holds up today.
Aside from the engrossing character development, Snickers Baby just plain loves how Numbers keeps her on her toes.
“Every episode throws something different at you,” Snickers Baby says. “I love being able to interpret the mystery and try to solve it along with the characters. It’s not just a one dimensional show.”
