“These cream cheese squares are my go-to holiday treat. They’re so easy to make and taste amazing! With their creamy filling, buttery layers, and sweet cinnamon-sugar topping, they’re the perfect cozy dessert to share with family and friends during the holidays,” Savannah happily told Playboy.

As noted, this is a straight-forward recipe that anyone can follow! Whether you’re well-versed in culinary or completely foreign to the kitchen, the cream cheese squares are certainly in your wheelhouse.

To create the cream cheese squares:

Ingredients:

  • 2 (8-ounce) cans of crescent roll dough
  • 1 (8-ounce) package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 ¼ cups sugar, divided
  • 1 TSP vanilla extract
  • ½ cup butter, melted

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Make the base. Open one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of a 9″ X 13″ baking dish.
  3. Mix the filling. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, and the vanilla extract until smooth. Spread this over the crescent dough in the dish.
  4. Add the top layer. Open the second can of crescent dough and carefully lay it on top of the cream cheese layer.
  5. Butter and sugar topping. Brush the melted butter over the top layer of dough. Mix the remaining ¼ cup of sugar with the cinnamon, and sprinkle it evenly over the buttered dough.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Cool and serve. Let it cool before cutting into squares. Enjoy the creamy, buttery goodness!
