Amidst a hectic and short February schedule, Ellie graced our presence by sitting down for a brief conversation with PLAYBOY lifestyle writer Gabriel Santiago. Read along as the two chat on myriad topics from the modeling industry to Black History Month.

PLAYBOY: Let’s start at the beginning—where were you born & raised?

Ellie the Empress: I was raised in Perry, Florida. It’s a small town just south of Tallahassee. I don’t really know what the current population is there now, but it was a small country town when I was growing up. Nowadays, I’m in Orlando.

PLAYBOY: What was your upbringing like?

Ellie the Empress: I had a big family, so I spent a lot of time playing outside with my friends, siblings and cousins. I was definitely more of an outdoorsy person!

PLAYBOY: How did you initially get started in the world of content creation?

Ellie the Empress: I began with content creation because I started gaining a lot of followers on social media. I was going out to pool parties, or random places like the beach since I’m in Florida, while wearing bikinis. From that, a lot of my bikini photos would go viral, so I started monetizing my following through everyday-life content.

PLAYBOY: We love pool parties! What is your favorite U.S. city to party in?

Ellie the Empress: That’s a good question. It’s tough to pinpoint my absolute favorite, but I’m going with where I’m at now—Orlando!

PLAYBOY: Is there a particular style of content that you like to create most?

Ellie the Empress: I really like doing try-on hauls. That’s my favorite because I love trying on new clothes. I’ve always been into clothes and trying on different clothes, getting dressed up and getting cute.

PLAYBOY: Valentine’s Day 2025 is near—how would you spoil someone you are crushing on?

Ellie the Empress: That’s a good question, because I feel like I should be the one getting the gift. But if I was crushing on someone, I’d be sure to leave them cute and sexy messages.

PLAYBOY: February is also Black History Month! What does that mean to you?

Ellie the Empress: It’s very important to me. Remembering the people that paved the way for me to be where I’m at today is a part of who I am.

PLAYBOY: Who are some of your personal heroes?

Ellie the Empress: My mom. She’s always been a hard worker. I get my work ethic from her. Also, I love Beyonce. She’s another very hardworking woman. When I was younger, I loved Tyra Banks. So for me, it’s my mom, Beyoncé and Tyra Banks.

PLAYBOY: Whether modeling or acting, what is it about being in front of the camera that lights your fire?

Ellie the Empress: I love being creative by creating different images of myself. I’ve always liked to express myself in many ways. I like exploring different backdrops and wardrobes. Honestly, it serves as my creative outlet and that feels great.

PLAYBOY: Let’s say you’re on a date at Hooters—what are you ordering to eat?

Ellie the Empress: I would get wings with mild Buffalo sauce. To drink, I probably would get a sweet cocktail. Maybe something simple like a margarita.

PLAYBOY: This year, what should PLAYBOY readers expect to see from you?

Ellie the Empress: I would say consistency. I plan on continuing to post. I also want to feature more exciting content. I’ve been trying to switch up my style a little more. I also plan on working more on YouTube and getting back into live streaming. In all, look out for more professional content and consistency all around.

PLAYBOY: What are some aspects of life that make you feel most beautiful?

Ellie the Empress: This may sound weird, but because I feel like I stand out a lot when traveling, it makes me feel beautiful when people from other parts of the world haven’t seen someone who looks like me. As weird as it sounds, people really want to take pictures with me and meet me, even though they don’t even know if I have a social media presence. Because of that, traveling makes me feel very beautiful.
