Pop singer and Playboy Creator Alexa Abraxas has been in love with music since she was a little girl and started singing in church at a very young age. She has four singles out now on Spotify and Apple Music and has three others on the way, and Alexa credits her icons Celine Dion and Mariah Carey as her inspiration. But, with some country roots and R&B flair, Alexa’s music is also inspired by some modern artists in a variety of genres.
In her words, here are the five songs Alexa can’t stop listening to right now and why they’re constantly playing in her earbuds.
“What I Have” – Kelsea Ballerini
I love this song because it tells a story – a story of being grateful for what you have and have accomplished. Ballerini talks about the competition and just simply being grateful for what you have. Kelsea is such an inspiration to me as a recording artist myself. She writes from her heart and shows her vulnerabilities and is able to relate to listers like I do.
“Marilyn” – Kelsea Ballerini
I love this song as I feel like I can relate to it so much, as can so many other women. Always having to look a certain way and have expectations met to please others. It hits to the core for me being in the public eye as there’s always so much pressure to look a certain way and act a certain way instead of just simply being yourself. I think loving yourself and knowing your worth will help you truly excel in this life.
“Touch” – Little Mix
This song is one of my favorites because it’s such a good feel good song. It makes me not only want to dance, but also entices me to find the right guy. It’s very summery and very sexy.
“Beating Heart” – Ellie Goulding
This song reminds me of when I was in love and how intoxicating love can be. It reminds me that Love is such a real thing, and my soulmate is out there. The sun makes me want to find my true love and feel his heart beating against mine. So that’s why it’s always on replay.
“So Small” – Thomas Bergensen
So when it comes to this song, it’s a little bit different from all of the other music that I listen to. This song puts me in such a euphoric place and makes me think of happier times. I use this song when I meditate and I pray. It’s a great way for me to reflect on life and how I can help planet earth, and the beings of planet earth become a better place. Mr. Bergensen is one of my favorite composers.
