It’s not enough for a pop hit to get millions of streams anymore. True hits can’t simply be earworms, they have to capture a moment, like Charli XCX. Disability advocate and Playboy Model Mia Moxiee is one of many who fell into the musical panopticon of Charlie XCX and “Brat Summer.”

Why Mia Moxiee Loves “Brat” by Charli XCX
“It’s kind of music that follows you throughout the day,” Mia told Playboy. “It helps you get hyped up and ready for anything exciting.”
Charli XCX’s latest album hit like a meteor in the popular culture. Yes, it gave the world new electropop hits like “360,” “Von Dutch,” and “Apple.” But it also introduced the powers of minimalism to a whole new generation. The album cover of “Brat” became an aesthetic copied and shared online by countless, including Vice President Kamala Harris. It quickly became so all-encompassing, that it became its own season: Brat Summer.
Charli XCX even christened the presidential candidate herself. “kamala IS brat,” said Charli in a now famous tweet. It wasn’t just the memes. “Brat” is already Charli XCX’s most successful album. The album, according to its artist, was a risk that paid off.
“I wasn’t born to do radio one liners,” said Charli. “That’s not who I am at all.”
For Mia, “Brat” is going to play on repeat for a while, although she finds the song “Club Classics” to be one of her favorites.
“I love that I can listen to it in the mornings when I need to get ready, or in the car driving to a night out,” she said.
