“I don’t know, the beat has it on replay for me right now. I don’t know why, but it’s one of those empowering songs,” Snickers Baby tells PLAYBOY. “It just makes you feel like, ‘Yeah, I’m lit.’ It doesn’t matter where I’m at. If I’m in the car, it’s going to get played at least six times.”
“Sticky” is the second single from Tyler the Creator’s eighth studio album “Chromakopia” which was released October 28, 2024. It’s an eclectic blend of different genres including hip-hop, jazz, and soul, with a heady concept inspiring the album’s music. The album is narrated by Tyler’s mother Bonita Smith, and each song acts as a musical diary entry for experiences in the rapper’s life.
“Sticky” is yet another frantic, chaotic, and intense hit from Tyler, complete with a beat you simply can’t put down. It’s no surprise, considering that it samples James Brown’s 1976 hit “Get Up Offa That Thing,” another song with an addictive beat.
Snickers Baby was turned onto the song by her friend, who coincidentally pitched it in a text that read “I’ve got this song stuck in my head.”
“The beat hits me in my chest. It’s got me in a chokehold,” Snickers Baby says. “It comes on and I just feel ready to party.”
