Playboy Club creator Alex Stitchins has a dashing appearance that will make your knees weak in the best way possible. To learn the ins and outs of this New York City socialite, read along as she shares all with PLAYBOY’s Gabriel Santiago.
PLAYBOY: Let’s start at the beginning—where were you born & raised?
Alex Stitchins: I was born in Connecticut and lived there until I was 18.
PLAYBOY: What sort of interests did you have?
Alex Stitchins: I was a big horror movie nerd. At the same time, I was also a musical theatre kid. I had a little bit of both worlds going on. My sister and I had our walls and ceilings covered in movie posters. I hate the word cinephile, but that’s just how we just grew up. We’d literally buy scripts from Borders and reenact movies in our living room and other stuff like that.
PLAYBOY: These days, you’re in the Big Apple. What are the best attributes of living in NYC?
Alex Stitchins: The fact that anything can happen at any moment in time. You could just leave your house to grab a casual drink around the corner, no big deal. Next thing you know, it’s 2 a.m. and you’re in a loft apartment in Brooklyn.
Weirdly, it’s such a small world for how massive the city is. I’m constantly meeting people who I worked with or somehow run in the same circles. It is the biggest little city ever and I love that.
PLAYBOY: Do you have a New Year’s resolution? If not, what in 2025 are you most excited for?
Alex Stitchins: I do have a New Year’s resolution, and I’m not just saying this. This has been a life goal of mine—I would love to be a Playmate! That’s it. I’m just not going to stop until it happens.
PLAYBOY: How did your relationship with PLAYBOY start?
Alex Stitchins: Earlier in 2024, PLAYBOY was doing a TikTok live and I happened to jump into it. I was watching for a few minutes and then once I got off the live, I had a DM in my Instagram. Initially, I couldn’t believe it, like, “This isn’t real!” Once I could verify it, I was so excited to join!
PLAYBOY: You are a co-owner of Offside NYC. What’s going on there this month?
Alex Stitchins: We have stuff that we do at the bar every single week. If you’re just looking for something to do in New York City, Monday night we have comedy. We always have a bunch of different comedians featured on Max, Netflix and Hulu. Tuesdays, we have karaoke a couple times a month.
There’s a ton of TVs and we’re always showing all of the winter sports. We have hockey on all the time. For college football, we have the Michigan Wolverines on every Saturday, which was a suggestion from my business partner who studied in Ann Arbor. You should have been here last month when the Maize and Blue upset Ohio State!
In January, we’re going to have more theme nights. We always do an emo night every couple of months and cross-promote with different bands. We’ve been doing a bunch of stuff with the drummer from Dashboard Confessionals and Emo Social, and those are always really, really fun. Also, there’s DJs every weekend and availability for private parties if you want to throw an event. We love doing events!
PLAYBOY: I love your artwork. Tell me about your tattoos.
Alex Stitchins: I don’t think about them a lot because I’ve had them for such a long time now, but I started getting tattooed when I was 16. The first time, I went with my mom, and the second time, I went with my dad. By the time I was like 17, I had consent forms from both parents, so as soon as I could start driving, I would just go and get tattooed whenever.
I started at a very young age, and most of it’s all black and gray. On my leg, I have two really large pieces that are colored.
PLAYBOY: What are some aspects of life that make you feel most beautiful?
Alex Stitchins: Being around my friends and just being comfortable. Whether that’s getting all done up to go out or just coming over to order a pizza in our sweatpants. Being around your friends and having a good core group is what builds you up, especially when those people want to see you succeed. It really makes me feel good.
It’s the greatest compliment to have such a great group of hype people in my life. They always know how to make me feel really good about myself or if I’m ever second guessing anything in my life, they’re like, “Knock it off. You’re the shit. Stop it!”
PLAYBOY: Describe why you love wearing black.
Alex Stitchins: It’s a no-brainer. You don’t have to think if everything is black because everything matches. Also, I don’t really want my clothes to be competing with my tattoos or vice versa. I love a theme and I will definitely venture out sometimes. My closet is very eclectic, but in my day-to-day life, it’s very easy to grab a black crop top and a black pair of jeans. And let’s be honest—black looks great on everybody.
PLAYBOY: Upcoming, what should PLAYBOY readers be on the lookout for from you?
Alex Stitchins: Hopefully a lot more features on PLAYBOY! I’m definitely going to be planning a lot of photo shoots. I love doing the shoots, especially ones with a good theme. So, hopefully you’ll be seeing a lot more of my face.
