PLAYBOY: Let’s start at the beginning—where were you born & raised?

Ashley Hale: I was born and raised in Atlanta, and then I moved to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Bethlehem is considered home for me!

PLAYBOY: What was your upbringing like?

Ashley Hale: My upbringing was pretty awesome. My mom and dad weren’t too strict. I like to say that I was a girl’s girl, but I was also sort of a tomboy. I would hang out with the guys, climb trees and ride bikes. I had a really good upbringing and childhood. I like to be outside, outdoors and running amuk.

PLAYBOY: Coast-to-coast question! Do you prefer to be in LA or NYC?

Ashley Hale: That’s a good question! I like both, honestly, and for very different reasons. I like LA because of the culture, the history and the weather. I like how laid back everybody is—that appeals to me a lot. However, I also like New York City because of the hustle and bustle. I like that NYC really is a city that never sleeps. You have so many options of things that you could do at any given time of the day.

PLAYBOY: Whether modeling or acting, what is it about being in front of the camera that lights your fire?

Ashley Hale: It’s being able to create and tell a story. That’s what really lights me up about modeling and acting. You create these images or these visuals and you’re creating it in telling a story. I love being a part of that. You’re conveying all different types of feelings and emotions, and when people connect to a visual or a picture, it makes you feel good.

PLAYBOY: Any upcoming or recent acting projects that PLAYBOY readers can find you in?

Ashley Hale: People might recognize me from Power. I did season one, episode six! I played a stripper, so that’s where I got my 15 minutes of fame from. I was also in How to Get Away with Murder. I’ve also done a lot of music videos, like one for 600 Breezy, a well-known Chicago-based rapper who’s very tied to Drake. For that one, I had a sword and was such a badass. Going forward, you can catch me on the new season of And Just Like That, which is the Sex and the City spinoff.

PLAYBOY: Care to tell me about your background working in the cosmetics and hospitality industries?

Ashley Hale: My job was to garner more distribution of our products on the shelves. I worked with Macy’s backstage. That’s my background with cosmetics, makeup and beauty. From there, I’ve been doing a lot of work with restaurants and hotels. Because of that, I’ve been able to capitalize on that with social media. I do a lot of collaboration work with restaurants, clubs and hotels. It’s an awesome way to not only promote myself, but to promote the business to the masses.

PLAYBOY: Any New Year’s resolution for you in 2025?

Ashley Hale: To move in silence! That’s my biggest one right now—letting the work speak for itself and not really listening to what anybody else has to say about it.

PLAYBOY: It’s Black History Month! What does that mean to you?

Ashley Hale: It means strength, determination and resilience. I am someone who is mixed. I am part Black, and I take pride in my culture and where I come from. We’ve come a long way and we’ve been through a lot. We’re going to keep going. One thing that I take away from our culture is that we can’t be stopped.

PLAYBOY: Switching gears, how did your relationship with PLAYBOY start?

Ashley Hale: It started back in 2015 through social media. I got familiar with PLAYBOY and started building a relationship. I was able to garner a lot of work through Playboy Social and also with Playboy Mexico. Because of that, I was able to actually do a Playboy Netherlands issue back in 2015, where my pictures were in the magazine. That was really cool. I’m really excited to get reacquainted.

PLAYBOY: What are some aspects of life that make you feel most beautiful?

Ashley Hale: My family, friends and working out. Anything that you do for yourself is really good for your soul—that’s what is going to make you feel beautiful as a person. If you feed your mind and soul, it’s going to shine and you’re going to feel great about yourself.

PLAYBOY: Football playoffs have been pretty crazy this season. Do you have any favorite NFL teams or predictions for the upcoming Super Bowl LIX?

Ashley Hale: I’m a huge football fan! I actually go to a lot of games since I live 20 minutes from MetLife Stadium. Nobody kill me, but my team is the Dallas Cowboys.

For the upcoming Super Bowl, I love Saquon Barkley. He’s a hometown hero for us in this area. He’s also from the Lehigh Valley area. Even though he plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, I’m really rooting for him.
