Q&A: Gisa Bunny

Gisa Bunny
The hottest dentist ever?

How stunning is your orthodontist? We’re willing to bet they’re not half as hot as dentist and Playboy Club creator Gisa Bunny, who hails from Barcelona, Spain. She sat down with us to chat about traveling, her passions, and the title of what will eventually be an amazing autobiography.

Playboy: To start us off, what did you like most about school?

Gisa: I always did very well in geography and biology. I’ve always been interested in learning about the world and cultural varieties. I’m fascinated with the human body and nature and am enchanted by the details. Just how everything was formed and works so well…I think a lot about all of this.

Playboy: What was the first thing you dreamed of achieving?

Gisa: My financial freedom. It’s something that I won’t give up, because I end up having a free pass to fulfill my other dreams like traveling the world, eating wonderful food, and helping other people.

Playboy: Where do you want to travel/What is your favorite place to travel?

Gisa: I’m going on vacation to Panama with some friends, I’m excited about this trip. But the next destination will be Iceland, I think the landscapes there are surreal. Thailand also is on the list.

Playboy: What are you passionate about?

Gisa: My dogs and my nephews, they are my life. Also, almost a year ago, I started artistic gymnastics and finally found something that makes me want to spend a lot of my energy on.

Playboy: What do you most want to change in the world?

Gisa: That all people could have at least a minimum of dignity throughout their lives, having access to health, food, sports and education. Then it would be a less unfair place.

Playboy: What is one setback that women uniquely face and how do you fight it?

Gisa: We are historically subjugated and placed on a different level just because of our gender. Since I was little, I never accepted the justification: “You’re a woman, you can’t.” I think that if it’s not done with my genitals, then there’s no reason for this differentiation, whether in salaries, spaces or housekeeping, for example.

Playboy: Eloquently put!

Gisa: I have always been powerful and free sexually, and went after everything I wanted. And many judged me as arrogant or aggressive. But I was just following my instinct to achieve my goals, not what society expected of me. And in the end, it always worked out. I am admired and people who know me tend to call me wise. I do what I can to convey that power to those around me. Everyone should be able to live a cool life.

Playboy: What turns you on/off?

Gisa: Stimulating conversations on a variety of topics easily connect and captivate me. A stressful, noisy day tends to shut me down quickly. Being with an insecure and fearful person turns me off too.

Playboy: What is the title of your autobiography?

Gisa: “All That, and a Brain Too: The Life of a Beautiful, Insightful and Authentic Woman.”

Playboy: Describe your perfect day.

Gisa: Waking up without rushing, in a bungalow on the beach, accompanied by someone I love, with my dogs. And just spending the whole day, talking, eating, relaxing and loving. At the end of the day, dinner and a few glasses of wine. And a lap for me to curl up on.

Playboy: What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

“Only you can live your life. Don’t live according to other people’s beliefs.” It’s the advice I always reflect on when I’m deciding what I really want for myself.
