Goldie Moon is a self-described enigma, and it’s difficult to disagree. Goldie talks growing up in NY, being a pizza snob, and why her superpower and heritage are one in the same.
Playboy: To start us off, Where were you born?
Goldie Moon: I was born in New York City. I grew up in Queens. Yeah, it was a lot of fun.
When you grow up in New York, you are automatically 10 years ahead of everybody else in the world. So I feel like I grew up really really fast at a young age. I was around a lot of culture and art and music and just a lot of fun things. So anywhere that I go in the world, people know that I’m from New York.
Playboy: Really? What do you think gives you away?
Goldie: Because I am very cultured I guess? It’s a little bit difficult to impress me since I’ve seen and done a lot. And I guess I also have that a little bit of an attitude that in New Yorker has. [laughs]
Playboy: What did you most enjoy in school?
Goldie: I enjoyed art class the most. I also enjoyed writing a lot. I am a photographer and I also do self-portraits. That’s how I’m able to express myself.
I spend most of my time in my bedroom just working on art and short stories. And yeah, so that’s mainly my personality. It’s just very very artsy.
Playboy: So creating art is really important to you.
Goldie: A hundred percent. Yes.
Playboy: What makes you happiest?
Goldie: Creating art, but also a companionship. Whether it’s friends or a lover. But companionship is definitely important. That’s where I draw my inspiration from: family.
I love my dogs. I spend a lot of time with my animals. I also own snakes. I have five different snakes. I just love animals and I connect with them more than I do with humans. So I spend a lot of time with animals.
Playboy: What do you like most about animals compared to people?
Goldie: They don’t lie, they don’t cheat, they do steal. Well—sometimes they steal your socks.
But I think it’s mainly that unconditional love and the connection that you make with animals in nature. Sometimes humans end up disappointing you but with animals they never really do that. For me at least
Playboy: What do you obsess about?
Goldie: God, everything! Getting work done time. I obsess over time like crazy because it’s the only thing that we have in this world that we cannot get back. So I guess you could say it’s mainly that.
Playboy: Sure, here’s a perfect New York question. Describe your ideal slice of pizza.
Goldie: Okay, I’m kind of a pizza snob I personally love brick oven pizza.
But if I were to choose the cheaper type of pizza: Ben’s. They have several chains in New York, but they don’t disappoint. They’re just always on point and I think it’s mainly because it’s a good ratio of sauce cheese and bread.
Playboy: What’s your usual way to go for toppings?
Goldie: So I’m kind of a basic bitch when it comes to this, but I just like plain pizza. But sometimes I do like veggies. Artichokes. Sometimes I like white pizza. It depends on my mood, but I normally just stick with plain.
Playboy: What was the last Google search you made?
Goldie: I was Googling the nearest theater for the matinee show of Longlegs because I’m a horror movie fan. I got into horror movies when I was a little girl because of my father. He was a big movie and music nerd, and I basically inherited that same passion.
I also love watching matinee movies because of the discounted ticket price and because the theater is usually empty.
Playboy: What would make you ghost a potential suitor?
Goldie: If they’re being rude and disrespectful and they are lousy at communication. I think that’s really important to me. Also…if they don’t like animals.
Playboy: What people inspire you?
Goldie: I have several people that inspire me. A lot of my close friends. But if we’re gonna talk about celebrities, I would say that Marilyn Monroe is definitely up there.
I love anything retro and old Hollywood glam. Sofia Loren is another one because she’s not only beautiful but she’s so curvy and it was something that was frowned upon in those days.
They would prefer more stick figures. But I think she embraced her curves and that was really really like an iconic thing for me and I really resonate with her attitude and her style.

Playboy: What is the talent that you wish you had?
Goldie: I wish that I could play an instrument, but I can’t for my life.
Playboy: What’s your catchphrase?
Goldie: “That’s what she said” is one of them and “Just go with it” is another one. Yeah, those two.
Playboy: Who was the first fictional character you fell in love with?
Goldie: Believe it or not: Maleficent. I think it was the darker villains that I enjoyed the most because they were always frowned upon. The ones that were not considered to be like most girls.
They wanted to be the princess but I always viewed myself as the villain. Not in a evil way but in a mysterious enigmatic way. I grew up with the animated version. But when they did the live-action version that story really resonated with me the most
Playboy: Is there a meme, tweet, or viral video that speaks to you?
Goldie: Memes always speak to me, but there isn’t one in particular. I tend to when I scroll, the algorithm always shows stuff that you would be interested in. I always end up laughing at or sharing the memes that have to do with goth music or goth night life or anything heavy metal.
Playboy: What’s your superpower?
Goldie: I’m Pakistani and it’s very very out of the norm and different for women of my background to be in sex work, and I think that should be known. Especially because I’m Pakistani, and it’s very very out of the norm and different for women of my background to be in sex work.
In Southeast Asian cultures, this sort of work is frowned upon, and in Islamic culture, it is completely shunned. To me, it is empowering to be able to make a living off of pleasure.
It brings some sort of happiness to people. We all have responsibilities, and adulting can be a drag. That’s why entertainment, such as sex work, is vital for mental health and physical health.
My other superpower is being mysterious. I’m just an enigma.
