Playboy Club creator Kalabunny is as charming as they come. An expert on the modern modeling industry, she converses with Playboy’s Gabriel Santiago about the numerous ongoings of her life.
Playboy: Let’s start at the beginning—where were you born & raised?
Kalabunny: Los Angeles, California. In the West L.A. area to be more specific.
Playboy: What was your upbringing like?
Kalabunny: It consisted of a lot of sports. I played tennis from five years old up until 19. We were always very active. We also played basketball. From there, I have a little brother and an older sister, so I’m the middle child. Between the three of us, we did a lot of training, competing and traveling to different competitions and tournaments.
Playboy: What’s your favorite flower?
Kalabunny: I love the peace lily because it symbolizes peace, tranquility and relaxation.
Playboy: Tell me some of your top places to visit around the United States.
Kalabunny: I love Miami. The weather, the beaches and the nightlife are all amazing. I basically never sleep out there, so yes, I love Miami. My other answer here would be Atlanta. I like Atlanta because of the food and again, the nightlife. It’s always nice to go out and try new restaurants there.
Playboy: Pick one—beach, mountains or city?
Kalabunny: I prefer the beach. I love being in the sun, on the water and wearing my bikini.
Playboy: For a follow up, what are your favorite beaches in Greater Los Angeles?
Kalabunny: I really like Redondo Beach or, when I have the time to get out there, Malibu! I’d say Malibu is my number one.
Playboy: How did your relationship with Playboy come to be?
Kalabunny: So, I work with Sleek Models and we did a collaboration with Playboy! From there, I started working on the Playboy Club. I do live videos and other kinds of content. I’ve also been doing more photoshoots, so keep an eye out for that.
Playboy: Switching gears, are you a sneakers type of girl or one for high heels?
Kalabunny: Oh, definitely heels. I mean, if I want to chill and relax, sneakers are great. But for me, I feel like my choice would be for the heels.
Playboy: What are some things that make you feel most beautiful?
Kalabunny: Oooo I’d say getting my nails freshly done along with a massage. Also, I love new hairstyles. There’s something about a new look that just makes me feel beautiful, sexy and confident!
Playboy: In America, autumn is for football. Do you have any favorite NFL or college teams?
Kalabunny: That’s easy. USC! Fight on.
Playboy: Upcoming, what should Playboy readers be on the lookout for from you?
Kalabunny: Like I mentioned, be on the lookout for a lot more photoshoots and a lot more content. I’ll be doing livestreams more consistently—hopefully at least once a week. I’m looking to build more engagement, so expect more content, videos, lives and lovely photoshoots!
Playboy: Lastly, can you walk me through “a day in the life of Kalabunny”?
Kalabunny: I have a day job, so I start by going to work. When I come back home, I do some stretches if I can’t get to the gym. Then, I’ll make dinner. On a casual or more relaxing day when I don’t have much to do, I’ll go shopping or thrifting. I also love to take drives to the beach and walk around. From there, I always have my bath time at night. I’ll light my candles and throw in my bath bombs and bath salts. I just sit there and relax. That’s a normal day for me!
