Equipped with a massive social media following, Kindly Myers is also a popular Playboy Club creator. The U.S. Army veteran fabulously harmonizes small-town values with big-time looks. Follow along as she sits down with Playboy’s Gabriel Santiago for a friendly conversation.
Playboy: Let’s start at the beginning—where were you born & raised?
Kindly Myers: I was born in Florida, but I did not live there very long. I moved to Kentucky and grew up in a small, rural town. When I entered adulthood, I moved to Nashville and that’s where I’ve been ever since.
Playboy: Growing up, who did you most look up to?
Kindly Myers: Living in a small town, I always looked up to my single mom. She had three kids and sort of raised us on her own. She did everything she could. I always wanted to be just like her. Celebrity-wise, I was always obsessed with Britney Spears. When I was younger, she was the queen.
Playboy: What went into your decision to join the Army?
Kindly Myers: Again, being from a small town, one of the only things that we had there was a National Guard Armory. For most people, they’d work at the local Walmart, grocery store or a gas station.
I knew that the Army was possibly one of the only things that could get me out of that town to find something bigger and better. It was a tough decision. When I think more about it, I don’t know if I’d do it again, but I’m glad I made that decision. It’s been a blessing. I love the military.
Playboy: You’re a military veteran and an international model. What are your favorite countries to revisit?
Kindly Myers: The Bahamas! Also, Mexico is another favorite. However, a few years ago, I went to Turkey and I absolutely loved that. It was such a cool experience. The culture and everything over there is really neat. The people are so nice there. It was very friendly and felt safe. I’d love to travel back there.
Playboy: How did your relationship with Playboy come to be?
Kindly Myers: It’s always been something that I wanted to do. Playboy is such an iconic brand. When I was younger, the women in Playboy were the most beautiful women in the world. That’s how I took it. I wanted to be one of them, and I worked as hard as I could. I went to castings and other events. At the time, there was “Playboy Social,” and it was an online voting poll. I made it onto that and all the way to the top two. That helped me get into everything.
Playboy: When you put on the iconic Bunny suit, how do you feel?
Kindly Myers: It’s exactly that—iconic. I love it. It feels sexy. The Bunny suit fits so perfect and you really look good. It draws attention. Everybody knows exactly what it is. You don’t have to explain to anybody. It’s such a cool experience to dress like that.
Playboy: Tell me the top aspects about living in “Music City,” aka Nashville, TN?
Kindly Myers: I’ve lived in Nashville most of my adult life and it has changed so much in the past decade. Still, it’s such a clean, fun, friendly and safe city. You’re going to hear the top musicians in every bar that you go into on Broadway . You’ll listen to one band and you’re like, “This is the best singer I’ve ever heard in my life.” Then, the next band comes out and you’re thinking, “Wait, this is the best singer I’ve ever heard.” There’s so much talent here. You can’t go anywhere without hearing singing or karaoke, and they’re so good. It’s amazing to see so many talented people in one spot.
Playboy: With NFL season underway, is there any hope for the Tennessee Titans in the coming years?
Kindly Myers: I’m always behind the Titans. We’ve been great before. Of course, we’re having a little bit of trouble at the moment, but we’ve got potential. We can improve, but right now, it’s just hoping for the best.
Playboy: How would you describe your fashion style?
Kindly Myers: Cozy and comfortable! I am a girl. 90% of the time, I’m in leggings and a sweatshirt. During winter, I go for hoodies and leggings, always.
Playboy: Lastly, walk me through “a day in the life of Kindly.”
Kindly Myers: I make breakfast, go to the gym, do cardio, come home and shower. Then, I’ve got the horses. I go out and take care of them, bring them water and all that. I try to ride my horses as much as I can. From there, it’s running errands and visiting family. I’m lucky that we all live in the same town. I usually stop to see my sister before I go home. Then, I sit around, play with my dog, go to bed and start over for the next day.
