Playboy Q&A

Q&A: Kylie Hammonds

Kylie Hammonds
The future attorney dishes about her passions, inspirations, and why she can't wait to practice law.

Playboy Creator Kylie Hammonds is about to become another distinguished member at the bar. She sat down with us to discuss her passions, her favorite things to splurge on, and the power of the law.

Playboy: So to start us off, where were you born?

Kylie Hammonds: I was born in Lumberton, North Carolina. It’s close to the coast, to the ocean. I was born and raised in North Carolina.

Playboy: What did you most enjoy in school?

Kylie: I always loved science, so I got my Bachelor’s in biology. I’m a big science person. I thought I wanted to be a veterinarian and then—I think it was my senior year—I decided that I actually did not want to be a veterinarian. I hated it. I realized it wasn’t for me.

On the day that I graduated I decided that I was gonna go to law school and I had never even had that thought in my head before. I just love to continue learning about things everyday. But I’m definitely not a math person. I don’t like math at all.

Playboy: What about the law appeals to you?

Kylie:  It’s about knowing what’s right and what’s wrong. There are a lot of things about the law that I just feel would be very beneficial for everyone to know. I also enjoy the fact that it’s something that can make a big impact on people. The law has the power to hurt people too, but I’ve always wanted to use the law to help people.

Playboy: What kind of law are you looking to specialize in?

Kylie: I would like to practice personal injury law. I graduated from law school in May 2023, and I’m actually studying for the bar exam right now.

Playboy: What are you passionate about?

Kylie: I’m passionate about being a nice person to people every single day. My goal is to smile at someone, or give someone a compliment. Because I feel like a lot of people walk around every day struggling with things that you’d never know about.

If I can be the one person that they see all day long that smiles at them, or asks them where they got their shoes from..just something that puts a little bit of positivity in the air.

Playboy: What would make you ghost a potential suitor?

Kylie: I would say if there’s a lack of communication, or lack of interest.

Playboy: What’s a talent you wish you had?

Kylie: I guess you could consider it a talent but… I am not very good with public speaking. I think people who can get up and just talk to a crowd of people. I think that is one of the ultimate talents. For some reason I get very nervous if I talk to more than five people at one time.

Playboy: What’s your favorite thing to splurge on?

Kylie: Definitely beauty products. I love to go to Sephora in our old town and just buy a bunch of makeup and perfumes and lotions that I probably don’t need [laughs]. I love Dior. Right now I think maybe half of my go to products are Dior. Dior foundation, Dior lip gloss. I just think it’s just very cute and elegant and the products work very very well.

Playboy: What food do you reach for when you want to hit a serotonin?

Kylie: Definitely Chinese food, but If I’m going out, it’s definitely Mexican or Italian. I love pasta. My favorite Italian…I love spicy rigatoni or bolognese. For Mexican…I love birria tacos. That’s kind of my thing right now. I don’t go too crazy with my orders.

Playboy: Who is a woman that inspires you?

Kylie: I would say my best friend Courtney. She’s always just in a good mood. So even…if I’m feeling sad…I just go to her and she has just such radiant energy. She’s always gonna have something positive to say, and is good at getting me out of my feelings.
