Playboy: Where were you born and what was your growing up experience?

Bekka: I was born and raised in Switzerland. It was super beautiful. I mean, Switzerland is an awesome country. I love to be in nature and I’m super close to my family. We love to do stuff together so I would say growing up was awesome for me, for sure.

Playboy: That’s awesome. And are you still living there or have you since moved away from the country?

Bekka: I’m back in Switzerland. Before this, I had a friend that went to play college volleyball in the U.S., and I thought that would be so cool, so I also went to play there for four years until I graduated. Then after these years in the U.S., I moved to Germany. I was there for one year and now I’m back in Switzerland.

Playboy: Where’s your favorite place to travel to?

Bekka: My number one vacation spot is definitely the Dominican Republic. I love the Spanish language. It’s so beautiful. Same with the food, the beach and the vibes. I would also love to travel more to Asia. I’ve never really been to Asia before. Tokyo would be super cool. I definitely would love to go there and I think those will be probably my top two spots where I would love to go.

Playboy: Is there a book or movie that’s very important to you or meaningful in your life and if so, what is it?

Bekka: I was born and raised in Switzerland. It was super beautiful. I mean, Switzerland is an awesome country. I grew up Christian, so I would say the Bible is important to me even though I’m very free with my beliefs. God plays an important role for me. Other than that, I read more fantasy where there’s not just one book that’s super important.

Playboy: If there was someone you wanted to date, what would they have to do to make you ghost them?

Bekka: Bad communication and lying. I don’t appreciate that. For me, I’m a super straightforward person and super understanding. I’m a busy woman. If you’re busy, that’s no problem, but I just like that communication. Also, if I feel like I’m constantly giving more than the other person. There are always times where someone has to give more to the other person, but there has to be a balance. If I’m giving more and I’m not really getting anything back, that’s kind of a waste of my energy that could be invested better somewhere else.

Playboy: What are your turn ons and turn offs?

Bekka: I love a go-getter or somebody that’s just like, ‘Hey today, let’s go do this.’ I’m super spontaneous. I love to have fun. I’m adventurous. If somebody tells me to be ready in 30 minutes, I’d be like, ‘Let’s go!’ I love that. Being spontaneous and making me laugh is a super big turn on. I just love a great vibe. That’s probably my biggest turn on. For turn offs, like I said, somebody that can’t communicate. Also, someone that’s low energy. That doesn’t mean you can’t be super calm. Maybe that’s even what I need. As you may notice, I’m a power woman. I’m very much of an energy bundle but I’m also very much bubbly and experimental.

Playboy: What is one setback that women face in the world and how do you fight against that?

Bekka: That’s a very good question. As a woman, sometimes we’re still seeing objectification. There have been movements that were going for the better, but I do think that there will always be some old stereotypes, but it has been getting better. I feel like with Playboy, we’ve been doing a great job because we’re using our beauty and what we can do to work with it. For me, I love the power and opportunity Playboy provides us as women to make a brand out of ourselves. For me, I’m my own brand, so I think that’s super dope that we have the possibility to do so on social media and everything.

Playboy: How did you discover Playboy?

Bekka: Playboy actually discovered me. I got an Instagram DM from Playboy and they were like, ‘We would love for you to be able to connect with you.’ I get many messages through Instagram DMs and don’t always see them. Obviously, I’m not always able to answer all of them but I’m really glad I saw this one.

Playboy: Describe your perfect day.

Bekka: My perfect day would probably start with sleeping in a little bit. Maybe until 9:30 or 10:00. I love to go to brunch, so probably find a cute brunch spot at the beach and then a day at the beach! I know it’s so cliche but there’s so many cool things. Then, I’d go somewhere else for dinner. I’m definitely a foodie. After, maybe play some games with my friends. I love to play card games or board games. I think that sounds absolutely perfect.

Playboy: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten in your life so far?

Bekka: There’s a few. Preaching self-happiness is one. I don’t need to look for happiness in somebody else, but I have it within me. I feel like a lot of people think you have to have that certain partner to be happy or whatever. That’s always the ultimate goal for you to get married and have kids, I want that one day also. But if it’s not happening, my happiness is most important. If you find somebody that can add to that happiness, great, but you don’t have to look for it in someone else. And the other piece of advice is that we only have one life to live. There will always be somebody prettier or skinnier, or thicker or whatever than you, but you only have you—might as well enjoy it! So often, I look back at pictures where I know at that moment, I was worried about comparing my looks to others. My God, I look so good in those pictures! Why was I stressed back then? Just enjoy your life. Be happy, because for me, I feel so blessed to be free. I’m healthy. Being appreciative of what you have is so important.

Playboy: What do you think your superpower is?

Bekka: My superpower is my positivity. I can get people in a positive mood and I like that. I’ve heard a lot from other people that when I’m around, they get happier because my smile is contagious. I’ve heard that many times and I that’s what I want. I want to make other people happy. I want other people to feel happy, positive, content and good around me.

Playboy: Who is a person in your life that inspires you?

Bekka: My parents are, relationship-wise. They are great role models by just how they live in their relationship. I’m super inspired by that. More lifestyle-wise, my sister is just so inspiring to me because she’s such a go-getter. She had the dream of becoming an actor and working in musicals. She had to fail a couple of times and everything but she kept going. Now, she’s doing it and I’m amazed. That just gave me so much inspiration to do the same and for me. Also, we talk a lot. We have a super close relationship. I have a close relationship to both of my sisters. We really push and motivate each other.
