Certified chef, fitness influencer, and Playboy Club model Tifany has her fingers in a lot of pies. When she’s not blogging about her impressive weight loss journey, she’s ironing out her forthcoming healthy food startup. Tifany sat down with Playboy to dish about cheat meals, Lara Croft, and her platonic ideal when it comes to All-American burgers.
Playboy: To start us off, where were you born?
Tifany: I was born in Redwood City, California. It’s in the Bay Area, near San Francisco. It was amazing.
Playboy: What was the first thing you ever dreamed of achieving?
Tifany: The first thing I ever dreamed of achieving was creating some sort of massive impact, whether that be make my parents proud, make myself proud, do something that impacts the change in women. I started out in tech, so that was a really great accolade, and then I veered off into the culinary world.
Playboy: Describe your perfect day.
Tifany: A perfect day would include some mindset practice, fitness, business, accomplishment, and self care.
Playboy: What’s the best advice you were ever given?
Tifany: My brother always says to stay authentic and to always be yourself, because you’ll never lose in the end.
Playboy: What makes you happiest?
Tifany: Being around authentic people, and food. Comfort food. And for me, especially, being a chef and having lost about 100 pounds, I actually make healthy comfort food.
Playboy: What inspires you?
Tifany: Honestly, my family really inspires me, and honestly, I’ve always just been a really driven person, so it’s kind of really hard to pinpoint, but I think just having amazing work ethic and really always being a passionate person. Also, having a personal mission statement.
Playboy: What is your personal mission statement?
Tifany: To help and to bless others whenever I can. I feel like we only have so much time on this earth, and why not make it a happier and kinder place? You know, life is already so hard enough, and I think it’s really important to help one another.
Playboy: It’s your cheat day. You’ve been waiting for it all week long. What are you having?
Tifany: Sushi, pizza, pasta, or an American burger with fries. I’m a purist when it comes to burgers. I love just a good cheeseburger, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, no pickles, no mustard, no secret sauce, just ketchup. I love a smash burger. I love a good crust on a burger, and it’s got to be the right ratio of meat to bun. And I like a really fluffy brioche or a potato bun.
Playboy: What do you obsess about?
Tifany: Oh, man, I obsess about my goals, my dreams, my business. I’ve been working on a healthy food startup, and I’ve been obsessing about that. And I think when it comes to building a business, you know, having all your ducks in a row is one thing. But really honing in on your craft and just making sure that everything is running the way it should.
And it’s just, it’s a non-stop thing. Fitness, for sure, I obsess about that. For me, I wouldn’t even say it’s obsession. Obsessions to me are our passions. The things that I’m obsessive about, it’s because I’m passionate about them. So food, because, you know, I’ve turned that into a business. And then fitness, you know, that’s always been something that I’ve always partially done professionally as well.
Playboy: Who was the first fictional character you fell in love with?
Tifany: You know, it’s funny. I would say Lara Croft. I’m actually a gamer. I haven’t had time lately, but I but back in high school, early college days, 100% I was a gamer. I’ve been playing PS5 and Grand Theft Auto V and will be until, gosh, who knows when Grand Theft Auto VI is going to come out. No shade on that, but we’re all waiting!
But I just love her tenacity. I love her sophistication. Lara grew up without her parents, and yet she always was so fierce, really eloquent, and just always took life by the horns. I think I was always inspired by badass female leads, and again, just kind of how she reframed society’s views on women.
Playboy: What was the last thing you Googled?
Tifany: It might have been an ice cream recipe. Pistachio, I think.
Playboy: What quality do you think is most desirable in a person?
Tifany: Integrity, kindness, humor. You can’t always take life too seriously. Life can be pretty tough, but you gotta laugh. I laugh so many times a day, and I make fun of myself all the time. And I think the more you can laugh, the easier life gets, and the more enjoyable it is.
