HotBlockChain is the Leader we Deserve in ‘Civilization VI’

While the world obsesses with battle royales, HotBlockChain is building empires.

Since the early ‘90s, Sid Meir’s world building strategy series has made gamers into emperors. Will your conquering hordes ravage the world and raise your banner, or will you unite foes and friends alike using diplomacy? HotBlockChain loves Civilization VI, and the long slog from the bronze age to the space race.

Why HotBlockChain loves Civilization VI

My mom actually is super good at Fortnite, but I never developed hand-eye coordination, so my [favorite game] is Civilization VI. You have to build a society up from the caveman level, 5,000 BCE I think, all the way through the space age. I always go for the Science Victory.” -HotBlockChain

To get it, you have to accomplish three things, and one of those is launching a nuclear powered satellite. So, it’s really fun. I’m actually a descendant of Alexander the Great but I think I have to buy him in the expansion pack. We’re Macedonian, that’s the lore of our clan.”

Civilization VI, like all games in the series, tends to have very long legs. The game released way back in 2016. It’s still one of the most popular games across countless platforms because of how replayable it is.

For the uninitiated, players pick from one of many different famous world leaders to play as, and take their societies from the agricultural age all the way through modern times, and eventually, the stars.

Under your leadership, you can expand freedoms, encourage trade, invest in scientific discovery, and form diplomatic relationships with neighboring empires. Or, if you’re so inclined, you can horde resources, build a massive war machine, and like HotBlockChain’s ancestor Alexander the Great, eventually weep because there are no more worlds to conquer.

Since its release, the game has received various DLC packs that introduced new factions and leaders, and the popular “Red Death” mode. This new approach turns the classic Civ multiplayer game into a battle royale, which is always welcome in the age of “Fortnite.”

Recently, 2K, the Civilization series publisher, announced that a sequel is in the works. Civilization VII is aiming for a 2025 release date, with a full gameplay release coming in August.

If you just can’t wait until then, Civilization VI is available on countless platforms under the sun, starting at $19 on Amazon.
